Excellent Acting by Vicky Kaushal

what a movie . I barely read about Sam Manekshaw sir . But now I know so much about him and I love this real life hero . you are real life ' avenger' sir . Vicky Kaushal , what a fine actor you are . you deserve a national award for this role . It's looked like it was Sam sir himself did the movie . more power to you Vicky . you just proved that you are the Ajay Devgn in this generation .

Very emotion movie

It was more of war b/w India and Pak, instead of Sam Bahadur. Vicky and Sania were good. Fatima as Indira Gandhi was looking like psycho serial killer (she was more of comedy than performance). Over all Ok movie. Vicky too good.

Waste of time. Could not handle half an hour even. Vicky does not look, act or speak like Parsis. Many producers are trying to make money on war stories. This is another example with very poor script.

Bobby Deol looked outstanding... kya style hai !!! Pitty the movie had some influence from The Godfather. Somewhat childish movie, a grownup man Ranbir Kapoor crying about papa, papa, papa... not giving him enough love ...

What a guy..and because he put Indira gandhi khan in its place,she stopped his retirement…illegal…so good to watch a movie of a legend…

When this war hero died in 2008,the Manmohan Singh Congress govt did not even give him a State send off.The Defence Chiefs were forbidden from paying their last respects.Even the then Defence Minister A K Antony did not go to pay tribute to Sam Manekshaw.Sam's pension was withheld.Dr APJ Kalam took the initiative and released the pension which came to One Crore.This money Sam donated to the Army Widows Fund.So much for congress patriotism

The problem with these biopics is that they totally eulogize the principal character. So if you watch the movie without expecting any objectivity, its a decent film. The war scenes have not been shot very well and Fatima Sheikh is totally miscast as Indira Gandhi, getting neither the looks nor personality nor even the magnetic personality right. But the rest of the movie is very watchable. Vicky Kaushal puts his heart into the titular role. His speaking style reminds one of Dev Anand, not sure if Manekshaw spoke the same way. But he indeed captures the bravura of the character
