Well written family script. Bolsters the strengths of large family. Only glitches, why heroine has to be from outside Tamil nativity? Also why not have set a marriage for Soori who is elder even to the hero? No other marriages also in family since the first naration?

loved the movie. and especially i loved Suriya presence in there. it was worth watching.

If somebody in their childhood enjoyed watching vanathaipola, suryavamsam, poove unakaga and other vikraman movies, then this movie is for you.

Good movie! The story-line is a lot better than other family dramas and revolves around one main theme which keeps it from straying towards other senseless topics. Glad to see Karthi choosing good scripts like Theeran and now this. Soori's acting was marvelous! And Sathyaraj, as always, flawless!

Good family drama movie but action could have been lessened. Talks good of farming and culture and family. Its amazing to think our ancestors lived like that and we all cannot even manage to stand few people in our lives
