This is not VJA movie (I know you are referring to Vijay Antony, still), This is Sasi's Movie (the director of this movie)! If you do not know the pain of a single mom in our society and the social treatment they get, you will feel bland! Our society is hell for them, they can neither live peacefully alone nor allowed to marry someone peacefully! btw, Try watching Sasi's other movies! I am his great fan starting from the movie 555.

Before saying Hinduism doesn't support women’s empowerment, read the old Sanatana texts. Look at Tara, Gargi, Maitreyi, Draupadi, Kunti —women portrayed with agency, intelligence, authority and moral power. The Tara story (wife of Bhrispathi, and how Budh was born) itself is complex, but it shows why ancient Hindu traditions cannot be reduced to the stereotype of women as powerless or submissive. Judge the tradition by its texts, not by modern stereotypes.
