OMG, this film deserve for many awards. People should recognize the importance of this movie rather than the commercial one. After watching Payasam in Navarasa and Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum, I felt director Vasanth Sir resembles Adoor Gopalakrishnan and K Balachandar. If you think that the last Tamil films with a focus on women came out then you can say Iraivi and then add this film to its list. After a very long time, a good movie has come out in Tamil Industry. Director Vasanth Sir, please bring back Tamil Industry.

Sorry, its my understanding from this movie. If mom is housewife is that she has to take care of all the work at home.....nooooooo.....work at home is way big and stressful too than working in office. I know working hubby has all the stress, but mom too have remembered. So, every mom and dad have equal respect with their work. sorry guys I respect everyone, and they deserve the same. GREAT movie must watch . I could see aspects of my life in Chennai 35 yrs ago in this movie .Amazed that it is still part of some others surely its a sanp shot of curent society - hard to beleive its pure fiction. So natural settings .Paint peeling of walls wires hanging switchbaords with dirt wow . Greatly appreciated and the ever present Godrej beero!!!!

I didnt know how this worked and I am not one for commenting but this is my 2nd comment . The story is great and from my experience I can say there are aspects that I have been part of . This brings in to sharp focus to a wider audience the everyday sacrifices that women in India make. Also the insensitive attitudes of men all because they are the bread winners. This portrays the entitlement men carry around (because I m worth it ) and the servile nature that has been hammered into women .Only cure is women have to insist on becoming finacially independent and hold on to it for dear life

A well made film, to be appreciated by cinema lovers who enjoy nuanced storytelling.
