Honestly the plot in this movie is really really bad. It's so inconsistent. The movie tries to add a romance & comedy in to a thriller movie and it just doesn't work well. The plot in the original was exactly the same and again its bad. Maybe the actual acting in the original movie made the film more bearable. If you're like me and used to movies like Seven, Zodiac & Wind River, then this movie won't give you what you're looking for. Also what was the point of filming scenes in the UK when the film could have been made in India? 2/5 for me.

Nice movie but in the end why police is no where...good story line but poor screen play.

Ratsasan is so much better! Here there is an unnecessary dance song, cut many important parts and even the acting is not up to the mark of the original. Would recommend to watch Ratsasan with dub/sub rather than this.

Worth to watch it once. Won’t be disappointed

I did enjoy the plot, a bit of poor direction, but it happens here in American movies too, having lived here in the USA for 42 years seen many thrillers but did enjoy this plot, Akshay did well, would recommend watching it.

Waste of a good plot .. it is disgusting to see that the director has shown Progeria in such a bad light... what mom encourages her son to kill? Bwood has no sense left ... Akshay Kumar was only officer needed to solve the case, the rest of the force was useless..

Black copy of a Tamil movie

Taut and suspenseful till the end with shades of Hitchcock's 'Psycho'. Overall not a bad film, though a bit gruesome at times and best not to watch it with your kids. Good cast with everyone acquitting themselves well. Akshay Kumar was actually good, proving that less is more and he's a better actor when he's trying not to dominate the film. The song and dance routine in the middle was just weird. Out of curiosity, as a guy, the sari outfit that RPS wore to the party, was just a bra and a sari wasn't it? Nice as it was (very nice), would any girl really go to a family function wearing it?

The ending was really rushed and not at all a satisfying one. The acting of Akshay and Sargun was decent. However the writing was so bad. The Tamil version is much better. This one was not worth the time.

It was a good thriller, and the truth was the most astonishing part...I usually kind of fathom who the killer is, but this one was definitely not conclusive. Good movie and worth seeing once for sure! I quite liked Akshay's performance and he manages to look young enough to act with the younger heroines because of his history of doing most of his own stunts and keeping fit.

That's Voldemort, you can't change my mind.

So I learnt halfway through that it was a Tamil remake, but I had not watched the original. Cuttputli is a good watch compelling at most times. The murder mystery unfolds amid the very picturesque locations of HP. Akshay does a commendable job but the role needed a younger man. Miscasting is not his fault though. The supporting cast does well including Chandrachur Singh and Hrishita Bhatt as his brother in law and sister and Sargun as his boss. Rakul is wasted

Definitely roots of a good film, although I agree it doesn't need the romance or comedy in it at all. Chandrachur Singh - WHAT a latter-years MEGAstar. I am impressed by his subtlety and line delivery, and expressions. Far exceeds the ability of latter-day Akshay Kumar. He outshines them all.
