Poli 1st half and Shankar-style 2nd half. Two halves can be taken as two different films, but the main thing is that both films are engaging. Ajith's screen presence elevates the film and holds the film together just when things start to go a bit amiss in the 2nd half. Frame at the end with the salute was just LIT. Would still go for Tamil version if feasible tho, for a real experience.

Engaging movie. Ajith has great screen presence as usual. But some fight scenes are just stupid. Especially the one in the climax. 6.5/10

most malayalees are fans of Vijay and his lame ass movies. This is not a bad movie yet got negative ratings in malayalam version while Varisu being an utter crap-fest junk movie got almost 4.5 ratings. Totally biased audience.
