I don't know what sin I did for having watched the first 1 hour of this movie, after which by Lord Rama's grace the darkness in me was unveiled.

700 crores and this is the output?! Lol! What a colossal waste of money. But at least this is a great analogy to explain how various state governments in India function. Huge money budgeted but the output is nowhere commensurate because most of the money is eaten away by select people in positions of power. Such as Prabhas in this case, Vijay in Beast etc.

I feel sorry for this team. In today's advanced film technology, this known story could have been taken like Bahubali and would have been outstanding. They should have learnt from the trailer and changed tactics. Not pour 500 crores into a losing proposition and become a laughting stock. It has to be ignorance or arrogance. Not sure, which one.

Not a single time, Shree Hanuman said,' Jai Shree Ram' only background sound has it. The lighting of the graphics was all wrong. Cold colors in a tropical country, Vimana was replaced with the giant bat, where is the golden Lanka, Shree Hanuman making funny noises, why did Ravan maid fort for war when there was no one to fight against on an island. Ashok Vatika is desert here. Trying to fit the shortest version of Ramanyana here is not well done.

Not sure if the movie director and producers made Ramayana for White people to show CGI usage or to show the legendary Ramayana to Indian people. This guy deserves to go bankrupt and get out of planet Earth.

Om Raut used the Hindu Scriptures to create a dark and ugly concept. Ramayan is not a love story, nor is Ravana a dark gothic enemy. I got angry every time I saw Saif Ali Khan. What a waste.

This is really good movie why dont you think in other way.. this type of narration will help the forners also will start linking the story.. The concept is to fight for truth over lie ... do you want to watch such way that ram and sita should be beutiful and have some jewelers . What do you mean of Epic ramayan.. did you read the Valimiki ramayan.. who initially wrote ? you know the knowledge from precious movies . all the people who made the ramayan as a movie all of them are tried to make money..

I feel like this movie, is a modern version of Ramayanam. With this Kind of movie making of Ramayanam, Even 2K Kids can enjoy this epic. If this needs to be a traditional version of Ramayanam movie, why someone has to attempt to make a movie. when 1000 versions already exist for diff generations?

Can be called as a ill conceived, poorly executed victory of good over evil movie and has nothing to do with Ramayan.

An over simplified and altered version of the main story line which in some places makes it mildly interesting but the betrayal to original story line still looms at large. Having said that, and the mediocre graphics and watering down of main casts like Indrajit, Kumbakarn, Angad, it felt this movie was set to fail from the begining. Saif could not do much in his larger than size role even with 10 heads. Where is Mahi Ravana ? The mixing up of GoT and Harry Potter like effects wasa of no help whatsover - ALAS! However, this movie is hugely under-rated here.
