Not sure what people are raving about. Not enjoyable. Excessive violence. Rajnikanth looks his age and is too old to be romancing heroines his daughter's age.

Watched first 40 mins, no substance in the movie. Style and star power isn't enough, you need a better story n screenplay but that's sadly missing.

Daring movie with substance and message through Thalaivar. No skin show, No item songs, powerful charaterization of females. Gutsy director Pa. Ranjith.. One of Best Rajini films.

Except Rajini, all other actors are not popular faces. I think Director used them to save the budget. Movie is not good and slow moving (most of the time).

Best representation of Malaysian tamils in the recent movies so far, cant find the cliches of half baked researched movies made about malaysia . Best acting by Rajini in this decade. Cornerstone movie of Dalit-Activism wave of movies. First time a tamil movie made by India which talks about marginalised Malaysian tamils, else always we will see Malaysia represented by people of Influential Malaysian tamil Families (another Cliche).

I had to restart the movie because halfway it got stuck, why does this happen most of time Einthusan.com when watch Tamil movies. Then when I got back to where it got stuck before I enjoyed the movie!
