One of the epic movies! Dev and Waheeda's romance & performances was simply fabulous! Waheeda is one of the biggest highlights, watching her beauty and her perfect dance moves, no sexual appeal, just classical Indian dancing. SD Burman's songs and other famous ones took this movie to great heights, with people thinking of the value of women and re-marriage after a divorce. It brought a Bollywood change, where the focus shifted to women-oriented films too.

I'm actually surprised by the ratings for this film on this site. Definitely some inconsistencies, on how people are rating these films. There are 5/10 or 6/10 movies that somehow manage to get a storyline/romance/performance rating of 4.5+. Nevertheless, this was an excellent watch. I've been impressed by both Dev and Waheeda's performances, Vijay Anand's direction, the songs, and the story itself.
