Haathi Mere Saathi - Elephant My Partner I realize this is an older movie, but if you've never seen it and you love animals and kids (or even just elephants!) you should see this classic. These animals are so very well trained (before CGI was available) and beautiful. There are subtitles in English and the movie is in color. Per Wikipedia: The movie has a Disneyesque appeal with an Indian twist. Haathi Mere Saathi was the biggest hit of 1971 going by box office collections, and was also critically acclaimed.

This is a wonderful old film. Be aware that it alternates a range of very joyous and humorous situations along with numerous poignant and deeply sad moments. Young children may not be able to understand and process the sad things that happen during Haathi Mere Saathi. Parents will likely have to explain certain things to their children when watching this movie. Nevertheless, i highly recommend it. I'm giving this 5 stars for "Performance"-- mainly by the elephant actors!
