But the struggles of a particular sect cannot be undermined. A worthy watch, if you can stomach it. Kudos to all the actors for such a great performance.

I haven't heard from any real Pandit who went through this turmoil to talk about it in the past decade other than this movie which had lot of fictional stuff. Please do refer to history before you support it. It's a movie and it's taken nicely but that doesn't mean everything is true in it. I don't remember seeing a disclaimer in the movie that said based on true incidents if anyone of you did please do enlighten me.

This movie is a typical historical movie, partly true and partly fake and will be a potential cause of spreading hatred between Hindus and Muslims. Out of 564 Princely State, Jammu and Kashmir was the only State where more than 90% population was Muslim and a Hindu King. The original mistake was done by Maharaja Hari Singh, the ruler of the then Jammu and Kashmir. Before signing the instrument of accession on Oct 1947, he should seek for the local referendum whether the majority of the people wanted to tie-in with India or Pakistan.

This is a must watch. If this happened to women and non muslims in modern times, Imagine the pain and suffering and barbarism of this Middle east cult on non Muslims during Mughal/Turks/Iranian invasions. The temple destroyed in northern india and what remaining has face or hands cut are testament to the barbaric religion. Many of these converts descendents, don't even have a shame nor awareness that their ancestor were either killed by sword or raped to get converted.
