I think we should not compare apples with oranges.Agree with your comment, unfortunately this particular director doesnt believe in good story and screenplay so he used Rajini to cover it up . Shame on the director.As an actor he did what he can do for this stupid screenplay. All the movies you mentioned are awesome and watched kuruthipunal at least 40 times and still holds.

To all intellects and Quentin Taratinos' what kind of movies you are expecting are available from other direcors and actors. Rajini took a route for entertaining audience for many years since he gave up his legendary acting prowess. He has travelled with just 'mass entertainment' scope for many years and till date he is entertaining people. Its very difficult for his contemporaries and even younger heroes. So don't compare and put worthless comments.

okay movie, am able to digest most of the scenes, but i cant understand the fitness test gym workout scene? its a lol moment, bruh. Fitness test gym workout scene should be like surya in vaaranam aayiram movie ! Namakku enna varumo athu panna pothum, thalaivar chumma style ah nadanthe fitness test pass pannirukalam!!

Not a great movie .. ok movie . There were times rajini movie were great entertainment like annamalai, baasha , padayappa etc..

Rajini looks very shine and young ,not borrowing movie ,

First half super. Second half little slow. But, overall I really enjoyed the movie. Rajini acting super. Father and daughter scenes are heart touching. If director focused on second half it will be really awesome. Anirudh needs to focus on music. I felt the music is irritating and irrelevant in some places. Sriman and Rajini meeting scene is really good and Rajini response dialog is nice.

Once again, he proved that he is a superstar. He doesn’t need anything from the movie. The movie only needs him. No direction, no story, no screenplay, no great music, no heroin, no logic...only the magic of the superstar. He is on the screen....only he is on the screen. Off the screen, I think, he is a very ordinary person ...not posh / polished like Mr. Amitabh. But, once on the screen, he is completely transformed. Entertaining! Electrifying!! Amazing, Sir!!! 70!!!???

This is probably further evidence that Thalaivar is now past his prime as an actor playing the part of the hero or superhero. They tried to cover bad storyline and screenplay by casting Thalaivar and Nayanthra but unfortunately this does not appear to have helped much. One time watchable if you have time to waste.

Mass Mass Mass

I think this movie is really underrated. Don't know why it's not a must-watch. Besides the semi-unrealistic fight scenes, the movie plot is pretty good. Additionally, it was hilarious seeing criminals afraid of a police commissioner. I think people are hating on this movie too much when the plot was pretty good. All I saw as flawed was the cringe fight scenes, but the plot and story keeps you hooked.
