Sitting far away from Kerala it was pleasant to see the village and associated activities, but sadly even more than half way through we weren't sure where this was going. No spoiler here, we didn't watch the ending.

A brilliant script and a great narrative. Biju Menon at his earthy best. Village Cricket & its deep rooted sentiments in the well being of the local community. Simple joys of India retold so beautifully. I am sure many of us would have been a part of some Kumbalam brothers in more ways than one.

Awesome movie, but only if you: - have left behind your roots elsewhere & - have not succumbed to civilization's soul-snatching faustian bargain & - have preserved a piece of self-identity to innocence and unsophistication of your formative years, Then: - this is some trip! The meandering non-directional story telling is intentional and a character of bygone era. Some movies should be watched alone to be immersive. Dare you to unplug and try this!
