Must watch this movie. Shows the suppression done for tribes in India. In this movie, the IRULAR tribe people's sufferings are well picturized. IRULAR tribe is the very ancient people of India and they are the very most oldest human race found to be present in all the excavations, but they are suppressed by the government without providing any benefits and identity.

I'm all for sympathy with tribes who might have been discriminated against, but I would stick with scientific facts while making any claims, otherwise it just undermines your argument. "they are the very most oldest human race found to be present in all excavations" Even a simple reading of the evolutionary history of genus homo shows that's not correct. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo).

In the real Incident, the lead police officer's name is Anthony Raj( Dalit, Christian) but for the movie Actor, Surya changed the religion of the lead police officer who as Gurumoorthy portrayed as Hindu and one of community in kadalur Tamil Nadu. what actor Surya did is totally not acceptable. Actor, Surya is a good Businessman who knows how to make money and supports the current ruling party in Tamil Nadu by changing religion and caste/community from the original Incident.

When Drishyam became Papansam; Georgekutty became Suyambulingam 2. Charlie became Maara 3.Sam Alex (Memories) became Aravind (Aarathu Sinam); though the heroine still was christian. 4. Dr. Sunny (Manichithrathazhu) became Dr. Saravanan (Chandramukhi) list goes on. When these characters became Hindu, did it help Central government. Only a bigot sees the religion of bad guy;others just see the evil inside him.

The caste of the police office is vanniyar, which is same as veerappan. Please google "Jai Bhim Vanniyar". Veerappan fought for the tribes while this police man killed. Despite keeping a scene where Surya protests for veerappan, the vanniyar community has taken offence quoting the scene that showed vanniyar calendar at the police officer's home. Also google "Jai bhim chandru interview" and watch them. Chandru says Surya has kept the reality to 95%, which is very good. Chandru also says why the remaining 5% is best not pictured as it related to torture. Peace.

People should stop identifying themselves with any caste. It should not be a persons last name, nor a requirement to register birth or get admission in school or college. Quota system based on caste for the last 50+ years has not still bridged the social inequality, may be because it is not a true solution to the problem. Instead it has resulted in economic inequality. Help financially under privileged with Quota. Slowly after 5-6 generations, caste will die a natural death.
