This is the fact, in South Asian countries, most of the parents have this mind set. If the daughter is alive and son is dead, even if it's not the fault of the daughter but she gets cursed. I have seen quite a few instances. I wonder what and how such parents would have reacted if the reverse would have happened...if the daughter would have been dead because of the son?

the movie is interesting but at the same time, it creates depression inside you, I liked watching the movie but at the same time I got upset and I had to listen to something cheerful.

beautiful movie portraying the reality of being a daughter with equal CAPABILITIES of a son yet being overlooked all the life... just because she's a female and is supposed to be a wife, mom and everything else but not above the son. sad truth of our households yet never voiced out!

Very beautiful movie to point out mental health. This topic is shown in a very clever way. As an occidental person, I have also been through hard time I am particularly touched by this implication. This is very brave to create such a movie, sad but so true. So many people go through this and I am happy that some people are sensible to it and take the risk to make it public. Thank you so much to the singers as well which add a drop a beauty in a sinister environment, which is only the outside appeareance of what's happen inside someone's head when having dark thought. don't watch this movie alone. specially if you live away from your family. it is a really slow and brain damaging movie.

Very good movie. Girl or Boy, this inequality has to end. As long as expectations are met, there shouldn't be any Gender issues. Bottom line, Society needs to change. The influence of society has taken life of two invaluable talented artists.

Nice movie, a painful story. Cannot unsee/forget now.
