Realistic, artful portrayal about domestic violence, kept interesting with creative weaving of folk tale around the main plot. Hard to believe this was released in 2008, still a subject sadly lacking public discussion, not just in Asian communities. Filmmakers/actors did a wonderful job comprehensively depicting gritty topic, courageously & creatively. Whilst I enjoy Bollywood, I very much appreciate alternatives to mainstream. Assuming lack of comments are due to 'taboo' nature.
