A decent effort but they made one big error which is the title itself. Secondly, the special effects: my computer has better visuals. Thirdly they hired the Saif Ali khan: nothing against him but Bollywood should move on without him, his wife and the likes of Ranbir Kapoor. The story of Rama and Sita was overcooked. I will not rank it as it was a poor show.

the story was good but not what i expected

This is an okay movie if you completely forget about Ramayana. Like it has nothing to do with the holy epic - just high level story lines match and thats it. its just a cheap version of Lord of the rings and Planet of the apes mixed. and don't even get started on the VFX - its comical. Why would you shoot the whole movie in it when you know you are shit in it? lol

Morally, ethically, and religiously wrong movie. Why did I watch it even after a billion critics and warnings? 0.5 star. Half of the movie is a video game and the other half is a cartoon.

Saif acted bad

Just the mere language and the compassion exhibited by Sri Ram in this movie was disheartening. I have watched it all, RamandSagar and also the latest Siya ke Ram. This movie seems like sh** compard to those. only thing likeable in this movie was the Jai Shree Ram song and its lyrics.

Watched it in theaters, absolute waste of time. Story wasn't god awful and acting was fine but VFX bowled me over, sometimes it felt like they were trying to make a game trailer or anime trailer but the VFX made it 10x worse. Ravana was funny with his 10 heads all stacked.

Director made conscious efforts in glorifying Ravan and weaking portrayal of Lord Ram. No wonder nobody likes it and it got doomed. Shree Ram is Lord. Bigger than the biggest . Jai Shree Ram

I think the film is good, very nice romantic images and stuff, but I'm German and don't know the Ramayana. What I don't like are these cheap orcs in Lanka and the evil flying bat and I can't imagine that these are described in the Ramayana. It's more like Lord of the Rings and Mordor...
