Master is definitely better- but imo Leo will be seen as better once sequels piece together what's been setup in this film. That is the endgoal of any cinematic/sequel based movie series. Might sound like copium, but you'll recognize it in the MCU/DCEU already, even within flops details are often referenced in the future.

If you omit the fighting and killing scenes, then left is only 10 minute of movie. One guy killing 200 people, all alone, one after another with knife, only possible in Indian movies. Absolutely no story or direction. All scenes are handled only by stunt master.

Its not Kashmir as stated in your write up, its Himachal Pradesh. Despite the all star cast, the story line disappointing, not much morale to it. I am at a loss why a Christian is so hyped about astrological prediction to the extent, willing to kill his daughter in the 21st century. Its not a movie one can enjoy with a family with young children as the violence is over the top and unbelievable fight scenes. One man against nearly 100 people.

One can post comments about whether they liked the movie or not. But attacking others for liking or disliking a movie esp a film that is not a biopic or historical event or even a artsy movies is unnecessary. I don't understand why Tamil fans (I am a Tamilian and can't speak for others) attach so much of their identity to the actors they support and their movies. Story and characters are what resonates with peoples lives not the actors who play them. Yes some actors come from humble beginnings and can be inspirational but you never see their fans fighting over demigod.

The movie is basically above average. good action scenes with one of the best looks of vijay’na. Bgm was good. But did not utilize Arjun and Sanjay dutt and to top it all of with one of the worst written flashbacks I ever seen. I do not care if its fake or not, Its no reason to write a bad flashback. In my opinion, Anirudh background music composition and songs are fantastic, it did justice to this movie. The trailer hyped it up well but in the end, it was dissapointing It was hard to see Vijay in such a bad movie, they made excellent cast choices and the story moved at a good pace but it was just 2 and a half hours of is he Leo or not, the synopsis itself is alright but the execution is very poor, id be happy if they made a sequel provided that they actually can take criticism and improve the next movie. all things said its still better than half the stuff that is put out.

Finally, Lokesh has made a good movie with a big star! After his excellent Maanagaram, Kaithi was ok but I was totally unimpressed with Master and Vikram. Really enjoyed a Vijay movie after a long time - yes with lot of masala as expected but it was done well. His character as a family man worried for the safety of his loved ones was very relatable. And as always Anirudh's bgm takes it to the next level.

Very good cinematography. Coffee shop fight scene nice to watch. Scenes with Trisha are pleasant to watch as no overacting scenes. 1st half nice to watch though hero build up scenes are present which you need to tolerate as usual. 2nd half horrible. Once Sanjay Dutt appears, you can close the movie. No need to watch further as it becomes a Marvel film. Vijay is one is one of the Marvels.
