Jhansi Rani Lakshmi bai is greatest Indian freedom fighter. But the movie not well shot. Don’t know why I was not feeling the josh. May be because of star cast? I wonder? Should have castes Anushka shetty fir the role.

This is pathetic. Honestly not only did historic Rani Laxmi Bai deserve better India is capable of much better film making, if people stop and honestly look at this from a technical point of view and a content point of view they will agree, I think some people are afraid to say how offended they really are with the poor job.

Good movie

Great performances but insipid scripting. Rani Lakshmibai's life and times were so electric. The scripting and direction have not done justice to it. The ridiculously stiff saree pallu in the intro scene itself is a sign of a director intent upon mass effects rather than impactful storytelling. The performances were impressive.

Such a long waiting! Finally watched on Einthusan. Loved it!

History's Great, but music and cinematography requires an A+, but this got a B. Kangana needs to rope in the right team to get that! There are lot of South Indians who could have helped her achieve that.

Okay first of all, what's so good about this movie? Most of the people already knew who Rani Lakshmibai was, so this movie was absolutely not required. Secondly, the sight of Kangana completely slaughtering Rani's character with such artificial and horrendous acting is painful to watch. Thirdly, this movie doesn't deserve the appreciation it is receiving. I wish I could get the precious two hours I spent on this trash! How the hell are movies like these doing so well while a gem likeTumbbad barely managed to cross 25 crores?

the movie almost made the lead actor look like an indian version of black widow of the avengers....an empowering story lost between silly effects and awful acting.

Movie not up to the par. Vfx cringeworthy and overacting. Poor script and direction. Unfortunately Kangana fans cannot be objective, they enjoy her bullying controversies and project that to troll people who speak neutrally about the movie. There is reason why this movie did not recover costs. It could have been a blockbuster but it was a dud. Yes it made 100 crores but it cos 140 to make the movie, so it was a flop.

What a great movie! It is a breath of fresh air to see a strong female lead, a queen who defies all odds and is a formidable opponent against her enemies. I think Kangana did a fine job portraying her role. It is not easy to portray such a multi-faceted array of emotions the way this film demanded. And what some don't seem to understand is that Indian acting is different than western acting. It is much more over exaggerated; that is how Bollywood is.

I didn't want to watch the movie because of some bad reviews i heard from people but i am really glad i watched it today. This movie is really great and 100% justifies the glory of rani laxmi bai. BRAVO!!! To team manikarnika.

Great movie

This movie was powerful in its own regard. It made me want to learn more about the old kingdoms of India, when they united, and how they drove the British out finally--the REAL stories--not the ones that they fictionalize or redact.

GREAT MOVIE REQUIRING TISSUE PAPER FOR EMOTIONAL TEARS. An emotional movie based on true Jhansi Ki Rani that makes you love more the Mother India and hate more the British Raj. I gave the highest rating for Storyline and Performance, and high rating for Action, but did not rate Comedy and Romance because of irrelevance. Kangna Ranaut is great in all aspects of her roles in the movie. Overall, a must see movie, but carry tissues to wipe your tears when you get emotional for the Motherland.

Kangana is completely immersed in the Character. Kudos for her Bravery to make a historic movie and many dialogues are contemporary. The way she uses the Sword feels real. Thanks Kangana.

Very poor storytelling. My disappointment is as high as the expectations I had. I think K. Ranaut is a good actress - at least she has tried other roles than "I'm beautiful, when do I get married?" but great Lakshmi Bai deserved so much better. Honestly, the 1953 version by Sohrab Modi was far more interesting.

Great movie, reminding us how many majestic people fought for freedom. We are lways greatful for the lives and freedom we have now because of such amazing freedom fighters and patriots.

Having finished watching the film, i have to say it's much better than Padmaavat. Unlike Padmaavat, there's a lot of character development in this film, despite the fact that it has a huge cast. A great number of characters whom you identify with and whose demise you mourn. As for Kangana Ranaut, as director and actor, she's the fulcrum around whom the success of the film evolves from. She does a terrific job, first as the young queen and then as the fighter that emerges after the death of her husband. Ad she looks amazing in many of the outfits she wears. A Queen indeed! I liked it-recommend!
