Still remember the case when it came out , I was in college , 7-8 months before he was hanged.Still felt bad that after 15 years of Jail he had to be killed.I don't know he is innocent or not. But I am sure if he was from any influential rich family he would have been let go , forget jail and death sentence. Kolkata Police did the job very unprofessionally. Sad , Media and political pressure still overrides real justice in India. No doubt all the actors including the director did a commendable job. This is real Bengali cinema , not those shitty stupid Bollywood romantic masala films.

Good story line, overall great work by the team. I don't know much about the original case but if I just take the movie at its face value, it is scary. This can can happen to anyone especially someone not rich or with political connection.

Seriously good movie ... always watched other languages and this is the first time watching a Bengali movie and it is rock solid.

Not sure why so many positive comments! The movie , the acting, direction everything is very silly. This is such a one sided movie. A rapist and murderer must be punished. The movie is full of sympathy for the criminal when there is no proof that he is innocent. This is an insult of the judiciary system.

Excellent movie. Money talks dog barks. Does not matter legal system, medical system, any system money talks. Poor people don’t get justice because no money, dies because of simple disease as can’t afford treatment but rich, influential people, politiciansar never dies and live for ever. Please check what is the life expectancy of common men and rich people and politicians in India.
