Stupid

While individual actors have performed really well in their assigned roles, the storyline itself is very cliched, predictable, irrational and many a times plain idiotic. Rajkiran, Soori et al have delivered master performance, but the story should have been designed to be more practical and tolerable.

Maaman was a low cost and cheerful family movie, but seriously, that kid character? Totally bonkers! They basically raised him on a diet of mischief and zero manners. Rajkiran, though, he was the boss of this movie, nailing his part. Soori's as a hero was just okay; he was a bit too much of an emotional uncle. Still, this movie wins over those fancy, expensive films that are all about murders, pointless fights, awful stuff, and ear-splitting music.

Very nice message oriented story! Every one should watch. Well illustrated example on respecting wifes in the family during the chaiotic situation. That's none other than cringyness of selfish love of "Thai Maaman" towards akka and matchan.

Can watch, but storyline is not mach for now the days child rearing. The boy took too much place in adults life by adults mistakes

Beautiful family movie.. Although the little boy's role might seem over dramatic initially - the bonding has been beautifully portrayed towards the end on the 'why' (i.e, Soori having not seen his own dad & the little fellow was born after years at a season when all hope on having a child was almost given up) !! FAMILY = FORGIVEN PEOPLE IN UNITY !!! that's portrayed so well... worth the time... beautifully done & everyone choosing to love and forgive did bring some teary eye moments... especially the dad of the little boy doing the role of dad, husband and co-brother so well too!!

What a movie man. An excellent movie and storyline is very touching. After a long time, I am watching such a wonderful movie in Tamil. All Tamil directors should learn direction from this director.
