A large portion of the movie is well written and really high quality. The situational comedy and the heartrending compulsions of addiction is very realistically and beautifully presented. And the performances are quite realistic too. But the final 20 minutes of the movie takes the charm away from the movie and the eagerness to become preachy and the urgency to drive the message through completely destroys the movie. An authentic story turns into an unrealistic masala one.

Last few minutes it requires for this heavy storyline for most part of the movie. You didn't want him to lose his life pass negative vibe. Message is to society to support, family to support, then to become successful in life, maybe not this grant by at least some hope !

Without the message, the whole movie would be meaningless... since so many are struggling with similar issues and it is important to show them hope and how to overcome the sturggle of alcoholism...Kudos to the movie makers for portraying the depravity alcoholism can lead to in all aspect of one's life and families... !!

Wow! That's quite a reaction to my review! There is no question that the story of his growth from an alcoholic to a successful businessman is a true inspiration. The review is about the presentation of the story, not the life of the person. My opinion is that the presentation of the story till the final 20 minutes is at a very realistic pace and scale. But in the final 20 minutes, he grows from a pauper to the owner of a business spread across 22 nations! And he's still quite young!

If the movie had ended showing him starting to build his tile factory or had shown him as an established businessman with a potbelly and balding head, the pace and scale of the story would have remained realistic while conveying the exact same level of positivity as it currently attempts. It would have been more inspiring to an alcoholic. Malayalam movies are known for realistic presentations and this movie would've too if the final 20 minutes were better made.

Great Movie, it's looking the same way how my cousin's life got completely doomed. His wife left him with their son and the sad part is my cousin did not recover like this movie. Everything in this movie is just the real thing that happened to my cousin.

Great acting and story line with a deeper message! We all as a society continue to identify and vilify the ills of the society by associating it with an individual but NOT with the evil itself per se. Every evil or addiction has a way out and the ONLY thing that it needs is support from the society as well as the people around the affected person. Kudos to everyone associated with this film. A socially responsible movie with a very powerful message especially for the current youth. This movie should be suggested and encouraged for a family watch or even for a watch in high school and college. Prevention is better than cure. No drunkard starts drinking to become a drunkard. Its the addiction, thats the danger, nobody can predict at what point of time you become an addict so its better to prevent than to deal with the consequences. Imagine the trauma wife, kids and parents have to go through !!! Everybody is not lucky like the movie hero to come out of it successfully. Thanks.

Well done. Realistic expression of the person who struggles with addiction and the rejection of families and friends that becomes cyclic and get trapped within that circle. Only a few could come out successful like Murali. Kudos...Hope I could meet Murali in real.

Direction, script lost towards the end. Yutube interviews with Murali had realistic ending. Wife , kids were traveling with him on business trips, vacation. RRoyce car and a villa at the end seems bandaid . Jayasurya is dedicated to the character, heroine seemed faded away at the end. So is kids, grand mother. Camera work satisfactory.
