Real life celluloid heroes/heroines, catapulting their do-good screen personas into politics, power and plunder is well documented. This script turns that progression on its head with a dude discovering gratitude, goodness and godliness through cinema. This grand production covers so much ground on slow boil in the first half and then fires up the pressure cooker to a surprising finale. Cinema at its best. Simply superb.

The so-called 'First' commentator did not watch the movie fully but hurried himself to claim it. Just pardon him. My US friend says he works as a security guard at the local mall. He forgot to take his medication. Now about the movie: Overall, the movie is good. Remember, it is not suitable for kids. It's a bloody savage movie.

Genuinely world class movie. will win awards. I know claiming a movie will win international awards is very "hit or miss," but this movie has real good odds. I read that it didn't have box office success. unfortunate that artistic movies like this are not profiting. This movie makes me excited for the future of Tamil cinema.

I didn't like Lawrence playing the role initially but he out performed throughout the movie. The plot and character build-up are phenomenal compared to other recent movies in the same genre. Everyone acting is so good. Enjoyed the movie till the end. Overall good movie to watch.

Watched in Netflix, but came here only to add a comment! What a terrible movie! Felt sorry for Raju Murugan. Raju -> Karthik will keep doing movies but may not be easy for you. See what happened to Ameer after Aadhi Bagawan. So young directors should not compromise their career just for stardom value.

Another neat performance by all the actors. This movie is for MY BOY ....S J Suryah / Raghava L / Karthik Subburaj.....Always he will bring on Thalaivar in some form in his movies. Die-hard fan of Thalaiva.....keep making such movies.....but still the story and screenplay of Jigarthanda 1 is much better...worth watching movie.
