Quite an extraordinary film that brings to the fore the divisions caused by religion and societal pressure. Aditi Subedi is superb as Maryam and there isn't a scene she's in where you don't find her presence captivating. Her acting and dancing make this film, as indeed does her interactions with her father Salim - Danish Husain, his is also a great performance. You would have to have a heart of stone to make it through this film without crying at least once. This really is a 'Must See' film!!

What a lovely movie! Powerful performance, message and very moving. We are all human underneath whatever package(religion, race...) we find ourselves in or choose!

One of the best movie with a wonderful dancer, who transcends the religion into an art. Art is the soul of one’s spirituality. Hats off to the director/producer.

I just came here to see how many people are seeing this movie and how many are true Indians.

Im muslim so i totally get and agree with Hashim Seth of the 'idol worship' aspect of this particular cultural/religious dance. But i still strongly believe as humans we are free to chose what we want to do and how we want to do it. Everybody should live their life on their own terms as long as they're not hurting anybody.
