People need to chill! Yes, it is a movie full of obscenities. Do look into the movie rating before starting to watch it. Lijo has made a good movie here with an unexplored genre in Malayalam with so many layers of mystery. The actors have done a wonderful job and have achieved what the director set out to portray.

A refreshingly different theme!

Jellikettu is an amazing movie, but I felt nothin exciting in this. People are saying you have to watch deep to understand the time loop, aliens, mystery madan, ghost, AI, what not. I have to say this: in order to make a psy fi movie interesting, you have to really show the source of secrecy nature of the story. For instance, rather than giving many clues of time loop, aliens, mystery madan, you have to show it, what exactly is behind the content, but here all i can see is that people have to come up with their own conclusion.

Masterpiece movie. Must watch, only for 18+. It's a mysterious / horror kind of movie.... I enjoyed the forest view day & night :)

Visuals are just next level.When you see the characters traveling in a jeep, you feel you are in the jeep. When they are walking in the forest, you feel like you are walking.

Excellent movie .. I can see it is not for every one , but no one can deny that this is a class movie ..

Waste of time

In terms of Story, I feel it is just an average Mediocre movie, maybe because I've seen many good Psyfi, Horror, Mystery Movies. Churuli maybe interesting for first timers who haven't seen better movies in these genres.

Awesome. Malayalam films is in a golden age of experimentation and story telling. Any work of art to be a success requires a nuanced audience - both elements alive in well in Mollywood. This movie is a treat for the senses, a visual magic showing nature in its full glory. It has coarse language as it attempts to show raw humans in its most primal form. It is meant to stun audience which it has managed to do. The story is the pursuit of a fugitive who has escaped into a maze deep in the jungle. I didnt particularly like the ending even though it was meant to show the 'churuli' like a coil. The strong point is cinematography even though I felt the background music was a tad too strong.

Need more like this. Superb!

Churuli is a must watch film as it is completely unique and delivers something new to the audience. Watch it for it's story and screenplay. Also watch it for its unbelievable and refreshing climax & visuals. Another masterpiece by Lijo Jose!

It's an immensely fresh take on magical realism. Very glad to see such talented directors. Love LJP's works.
