Lijo's movies are excellent. I just didn't get this one. Inspiration from greats such as Kurosawa and the like seems dated for current short -attention, insta-all world unless it is raw as Kadaisi Vivasai. The slow, still frames and on-cue collective sleep and stride here seemed too contrived. Of course, unless creatives like Lijo experiment we don't get progress.. Hope others get more out of this movie. I just chalk my dissatisfaction to lack of understanding.

Another Lijo beauty. It has the same surreal feel as most of his movies and yet is simpler and more pleasant for family viewing. The cinematography is wonderful. Every frame looks like a rustic photograph. The usage of old Tamil movie dialogues as background audio is genius (makes you realize how high quality those movies were too). It feels slow sometimes but never slow enough for you to skip forward. Lijo is undoubtedly one of my favorite directors in Indian cinema today.

Remarkable film. The storyline is simple yet fascinating. The charectors stayed in my mind long after the film was done. The directors craft is visible throughout the film. Mammootty has done a splendid job portraying Sundaram the Tamil charector. Although all the actors have done a good job, Its him who single-handedly carries the movie forward. But I gotta remind you that it's not everyone's cup of coffee. A lot of people may find the film slow paced. For me,it was one of the best films I've watched in recent times.

Awesome movie... But i feel Indrajith, Joju, Jayram, Manoj K Jayan, even Indrans could also have handled this role easily(Just a thought). also feltt like Manjo Knight Shayamalan inspired way of making movie..

The movie captures the quintessential tone of rural Tamil life contrasted with malayalee characters. The distance between the two locations in Tamilnadu and Kerala is not big but the difference in cultures has been captured very well. There are some great set pieces and the subtle cinematography brings out duality where we would normally not see them - like the image of white rice and brown chemba puttu. The movie is also a showcase of patience and sympathy.

I like LJ's movies, this movie is a good one. Liked it. Some of the scenes were beautifully shown. Only one being didn't judge and accepted sundaram is, sevele!!! Sevele in the climax 💚💚💚 All the background Tamil songs suited the scenes very much. I always feel that LJ's movies are an experience. My time fav is Ee ma yau.

Man this is one of the worst movie, director must be so desparate to make a movie with his iPhone. Even a bushman can write better script and make a better movie than this. Story: A Malayali gets possessed by a ghost, He lives one day as a Tamil man, and when he sees himself in a mirror he realizes that something wrong with him. When he wakes up he is Malayali again. End of story! The movie is so slow, nothing interesting! Poorly scripted.
