A delightful movie which addresses an age old problem of sanitation in India or more accurately the lack of sanitation . Very timely indeed ! Akshay is one of my fav actors and it is great to see him do meaningful films. Bhumi is very watchable .She is very believable as the small town girl who has the nerve to stand up to ridiculous customs that have falsely become synonymous with culture and " sabhyata" Great watch .

Hats off to the original couple on whose real life issue the movie was based on - Shivram Narre & Anita Narre. Very well directed and good script & dialogue. Not too heavy or sarcastic. Seemed true to the situations. Enjoyed the movie. :)

This is frigging annoying. This is your third movie I was able to watch only halfway because of the glitching ads and the multiple reloading. I have watched only about 35 minutes of this movie and it has glitched 4 times already. I have to reload, find where the heck I left off and then continue. It takes the good taste out of one's mouth! Right now, I've reloaded/refreshed and the screen is not even moving. What the heck are you guys doing? Email me when you have fixed this mess. Until then, I will find another similar website. Enough of this!!!!!!!!!!

Very misleading story. There are no cultural reasons to not have toilets in India. People in rural areas are simply too poor to afford them.

What a senseless movie. I grew up in a very small town. I don't know of villages where in today's time people resist (to this extent) having toilet in their house. ZERO story. Watch for some acting only and if you don't have anything else to do.

Very good exposure to what used to be and what has come about. Change has been ACCEPTED and I am glad that our current generation are able to see what hardships our forefathers and mothers went through to bring some improvement in our lifestyles. This film is a step in the right direction to improve what is the biggest issue in India...HYGIENE!

Where do I start??? Well, I don't understand Hindi at all but lately I've started watching Hindi movies and I'm in love with it. Some of the movies are absolute gems, this movie for example. Awesome story telling, acting, message, etc. Thanks for subtitles, I'm able to understand most. Boy oh boy, Hindi movies are the best. I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could recommend some good Hindi movies to watch. I don't like big budget blockbusters, I enjoy simple movies (eg.Mukabaaz, Toilet, Pad Man)

Having grown up in the United States with toilets all of my life, it never occurred to me what the plight of women in developing and third-world nations go through for something as simple as going to relieve themselves. I wondered, but had no idea that this was their reality. This movie was eye-opening to say the very least. Kudos to Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar for making this film!

i dont understand why do people in the same village have toilets in their homes while the hero doesnt and isnt allowed to ? where do men go if they need to use the wc???? its a bit shady for non indians

A GOOD MOVIE,WITH A STRONG SOCIAL MESSSAGE

I was really looking forward to this film because of the issue it tackles, but I was disappointed. The scenario drags a boring and hardly believable romance and rushes the parts about the actual social issue. Visually, it's quite awful. The light is so bad, espacially in the night scenes and the unnecessary CGI looks terrible. The performances are ok though. I recommend watching it if you're interested in this type of films with a social and society message, but as a cinematrophical work, it has very little qualities.

This is bullshit! I want to watch this movie and have attempted several times, but it doesn't load. Keeps telling me to try again in 10 to 20 min, but it is still not available. Keeps telling "we are extremely busy at the moment." What about me? I am also an account holder with this website. You can't just deny me a movie.
