if you watched Kanchana, then you wouldn't enjoy this film as much due to Kanchana being one of the best South Indian films whereas this being a casual family comedy. Good movie, just not the best. Had higher expectations though. Majority of the google reviews are saying this film is a flop, but it really isn't. It def made me laugh a couple of times! Some scenes were unnecessary but that's okay. First half > Second half. The LGBTQ+ representation wasn't the best. But overall, I'd give it a 3/5 rating.

One of the Worst movie i ever seen, closed it in 15 mints of watching, TOTAL MOVIE WAS FALTHU. More ever the way this akshay Kumar Joker was using the words AGAINST religion made me to watch tamil movie Kanchanna, MR AKSHAY I WILL NEVER WATCH YOUR MOVIE IN MY LIFE.

this is more like a comedy

This isn't an easy film to get through, Akshay Kumar once again dialing in his performance for the paycheck. However, the film does deal with transgender issues, along with religion, spiritualism and bigotry. The fight scenes are terrible and there's a lot of unnecessary gore, with all the songs in the film feeling out of place. The only reason to watch it, if you're a guy, is Kiara Advani - would! As for Rajesh Sharma, surely he's the busiest actor in Bollywood, in fact the Samuel L Jackson of Bollywood, I hold Mr Sharma in high regard, he always delivers a fine performance.

I don't understand why people disliked this film. This is a very powerful movie and only some people would understand or even sympathise with the underlying message. The people who didn't understand this film are the antagonist of this film. Should learn to respect at least. Heart-breaking.

No Spoilers: Had good hopes for this movie. This movie is like a sequel of Bhool Bhulaiya. Story is pretty interesting at first. It went downhill later.

Skip this one at all costs. A truly pathetic remake of Kanchana. Not that Kanchana was any good either. Laughable storyline made more ridiculous by substandard acting even by so many established actors. The underlying message of transgender empowerment may be good but using such a pathetic movie as a vehicle for it will only weaken the message. So much of hype created for a worthless movie. But then, only worthless movies need hype, good ones will shine on their own

Failure in all aspects

Very Bad Movie , Could not finish even 30 mins.This is not a movie against superstitions in fact it is demonizing Hinduism.

Concept is good but surely not against superstitions , in fact demonizing Hinduism , Like Jigar said , if Akshay was Muslim and Kiara Hindu then it would have suited best ,In a way Bakwas movie !

Excellent Acting by Akshay Kumar!....One of his best performance as an actor. Totally enjoyed the movie. Could have removed the first two songs and add few more back end story!.... Good Movie

Excellent performance from akshay. I don't find anything wrong with the idea they want deliver to the audience! Its just every one has their own prospective and looking at certain things differently.

For me actor Sharad Kelkar gave the best performance in this movie even better than the lead ones which seems to be exagerrating...

Overall movie was worthless. same old story. Horrible acting by Kiara and Akshay. The only worthwhile 5 minutes of excellence was delivered by Sharad Kelkar.

This is just a movie everything is innovated in reality there is no ghost but in reality there is female and male jinn and they have their own world unseen to human being but sometime they appear, this is not the real way of curing the possessed person from jinn. This movie is a funny movie but it quite disappointed me because of it's weak storyline , screenplay , and dialogues but akshay kumar as usual is fantastic for his action stunt and his comedy and he carries the entire film on his shoulder. if i talk about the drawback of the film , the director did not gave enough space time to the comedians and to the supporting actor and he also added many songs which were not necessary at all.

I honestly don't understand the bashing this movie had, it was entertaining, funny, open-minded, and the revenge part was satisfying. I for one enjoyed watching it and Akshay is always fun. overall good. P.S: ***Spoiler alert*** the best part for me was that the hero was freed from the haunting of the ghost and he chose willingly to let it back to finish her mission.
