Am I the only one who doesn't like Sivakarthikeyan and find him irritating some times? Movie is okay. I find it overrated by some. Never the less, it depicts a an issue that needs more spotlight in real life.

Great movie! Great acting, Performance and Storyline. And a very strong message about the pre-cooked and junk food. Sivakarthikeyan is a great actor with lots of natural talents and he is one of the top leading actors due to hard work! Thanks @einthusan :)

Not impressed with Sivakarthikeyan's performance. Very average movie.

Very Nice movie, Great concept

The subtitles are not matching with what they are actually saying in the movie. The subtitles are using foul language where the actors who are speaking do not . Please Einthusan , fix this issue as it is displaying a false light on Tamil movies!

Don't let your kids watch the movie if they need subtitles. The worst subtitles with expletives and not related to what the actors talk. Full of f**k, a****e, porn, bas**d etc., Geesh!

Not playing, waste of time

Quite easily one of the worst films made in the history of cinema. Totally illogical, non-factual stupidity disguised as a worthy screenplay. Horrendous acting. Awful editing. Awful lighting in lit studios. I am flabbergasted that people actually paid money to watch this.

I don't think M. Raja put in enough effort into scripting this movie. The script seems half baked, events and ideas unconvincing, the premise unrealistic. The core concept of the movie was good, but the execution is all flawed, and people writing away their companies because of Sivakarthikeyan's antics?? Utter nonsense. Hope M.Raja makes a successful come back with a good script soon.

This is an excellent movie on a very touchy social subject. Need to be watched for the content.

"mirror to your tv AirPlay - ChromeCast" Doesn't work for me. When I click that, it goes to full screen mode and starts playing on my laptop instead of TV.

what a waste of time ! so much hipe but the movie falls flat !!! Siva and Nayan are good performers wasted in this movie. director please go back to basics and find out why people rejected this movie.

I am the owner of a food company based in India trying to sell food product without any chemicals..but i find it tough to educate people. But please look at the products from the morning toothpaste to cereals, bread, Jam , Butter, tin products, biscuits, noodles, ready foods , wheat flour ..all soft drinks has preservatives and flours...which is slow poison to us, yet we cant do anything. SAVE CHILDREN..SAY NO TO PRESERVATIVES. Full marks to the movie team.

Important concept and message, but very poor script, performance and direction. A school girl in Ne Zealand exposed the international product Ribena. This movie is nowhere close to that girl. should have given real facts about the products and their legal limits of additives. The "Velaikkaran" who adds the ingredients has no knowledge of the chemistry of the stuff he is putting. the directer should have highlighted the ingredients of most of the products normally consumed, their limits and their side effects. However Fahadh Faasil was wonderful to watch.

I think this message was the best and practical message ever told from a movie,"GOSSIPING" I found the use of it :)

Sivakarthikeyan's same type of delivery in all the movies is irritating and nauseating. He survives on his luck.

Good eye opener for all of us. Acting, screenplay and dialogues was very ordinary. We all know the movie title is "Velaikaran", no need to mention it thro' out the movie.

This is a movie with such an excellent message. I loved the parallels they drew between salespeople and goons of a gang. Sivakarthikeyan tried his best to perform well in his role but he has to grow more as an actor and try different roles with different scripts in order to sustain in the industry. I don't understand why Nayanthara is fully decked up with perfect make-up and perfectly groomed hair with 'high-class' formal clothes 24/7.

I can't understand why filmmakers in Tamil cinema have problems with depicting a girl normally, with what we call 'flaws', and conventional characteristics. This is why girls in India are so concerned about their looks and feel inferior about themselves. It starts with what is being depicted in movies.

All the criticisms aside, I think this is a movie with good messages and its very important for everyone to watch this and be aware of our own surroundings. Entertainment wise, this is an okay movie (I was especially compelled to watch because of Prakash Raj-he propelled this movie forward with his acting). I would day its a one-time watch. I would give it a 2.5/5. What do the rest think? :)

btw, background music made things too filmy..it was kind of annoying

We live in a capitalist world so It´s very difficult to live in a country without capitalism, and the middle class doesn´t exist is only a veil for people to believe that they are in a better situation but at the end they are exploited and used by the Elite. WE ARE WORKER CLASS and the others are ELITE CLASS. That´s it.
