This is probably the worst movie I've ever seen. The filmmakers must be utter idiots. Anyone with an education would be ashamed to use Gandhi's name in the same sentence as Bose, a militant who wanted to side with Hitler. This comparison is so ridiculous. I wonder how the Indian education system has failed us by producing idiots like this who can't see Gandhi's values.

A good time pass movie. Kind of predictable. Acting was good and so was the action. However, for the setting that was late 1970's and early 1980's, the film occasionally looked somewhat modern. Akshay's hairstyle looked too perfect to be set in 1980's. Same with Vaani's looks. Unlike some other movies, where we get transported to the era where the movie's story is set, this movie does just a so-so job about doing that. I liked the story and the thrills were good too. Best part for me was Lara Dutta, unrecognizable as Indira Gandhi. Worth a watch once.

Decent Movie.

An edge of your seat entertainer, especially in the second half. The are glaring plot holes at critical points in the end which will make it a laughable movie for any keen movie enthusiast. And all the talk about "inspired by true events" is just to jack up nationalistic fervor. The real true story was that there was a hijack which ended in the capture of the hijackers without any casualties because of UAE negotiations. There was no RAW covert operation and no such herogiri as shown in the movie.

just a one-time action movie. The first half is all about Akshay Kumar's mom sentiment and the second half is all about scenes on the high-level meetings, airplanes, and sandstorm fights with bad graphics. Like the true history but screenplay could have been executed well. No great plot or storyline.

Having read other reviewers imploring Einthusan to show Bell Bottom in reviews for other films, I was looking forward to this 'tour de force'. Gosh! To say I'm underwhelmed would be an understatement, too long at 2 hours and the 'action' sequences were at best passable. For me the film just didn't have that 'edge of the seat' feeling at any time and I often found myself checking to see when it ended. Perhaps my expectations were too high, glad others enjoyed it, I didn't and would'nt recommend it either.

a sad truth about pakistan

in this today's high technology world they did very basic photography, there could have been better sets and action. story is good, performance not too bad. I would give generously 5/10.
