4/5 - It's an overall feel-good film, that is led ably by Vicky Kaushal. He puts his heart into this film and his performance is commendable. A strong ensemble cast, particularly Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa, contribute to this film. The direction is nice however the screenplay seems forced and rushed in certain sections. With a surprisingly fresh soundtrack (my favourite being Sahibaa), The Great Indian Family is the perfect family watch, that delivers a strong, prevalent message. Although this film didn't fare well at the BO, let's hope it receives some love on OTT:

It's a satisfactory movie overall. Simar movies on the topic have been made before, a recent example being Dharam Sankat Mein. I would have preferred the plot being about a religious man (Hindu or Muslim) converting willingly to the other religion and trying to convince his family to still accept him. Although I think that plot might have been too controversial. Overall I give this 2.5/5, there is one very unnecessary kiss scene and the romance angle doesn't gel well with the story. I would recommend age 10+.

Decent movie despite making a fetish of its secular credentials. Movie is rescued by top notch performances by Vicky Kaushal and especially Kumud Mishra. Starts well but meanders after the first half hour. Is a little over the top for a while before a superb climax

MUST watch MOVE!!!!! Do not watch this movie as Religious or political propaganda… Movie has unique story line, crisp and clear presentation. Just watch it or feel it as you are one of the characters and the situation can happen with anyone; I am sure we as INDINS(any religion) will behave in the same way what Tripati Ji did it in that situation of MOB.

i do not know if its the same, less or more but they never do the vice versa. Either they want it only to be this way not the other way around or they just do it for business.
