I am from Mannarkkad (Joju’s place in the movie). Adivasi (Tribe) situation in Attapadi, widely speaking, has much improved now, but way to go still. There is of course the problems related to corruption and bureaucracy, but it’s just one thing among many. It’s a bit complicated issue altogether. By the way thanks to the team for making this movie. Loved watching it.

Another awesomely brilliant movie by everyone involved. Hope things improve for tribals in India. I saw same callousness of government in Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.

Adivasis are the protector of Forest so It is good for humans not to touch them.

Explosive plot. I can't imagine such political action in today's world. If anyone tries to do even 1% of what these 4 did, they will be incarcerated for sedition and branded anti-national by the nation. The won't make it out alive. There will be a large section of your population that will claim that the movie makers are anti-national. The Adityanaths of our nation will brand all of Kerala anti-national siting this movie as an example. That is the state of our democracy now.

Great story telling and acting. Mollywood needs to get behind the concerns of the natives of Kerala.

Brilliantly made movie. So relevant topic even after 25 years of the incident. So powerful that people started discussing and realize about the political system and suppressions done to the minorities. Hats off to Kamal KM and the entire Pada team for making a well crafted movie without any bias, doing proper research and for the courage.

It is a movie with watching. This hostage episode happened when I was in my degree. Bad part of taking someone a hostage it is by force in order to secure the taker's demands. Some of the more common objectives of hostage taking have been to make ransom demands to generate funds for the terrorists' cause, to generate sympathy for a cause, and to raise instantaneous publicity through the media. This movie was based on to get attention of the government.

Vinayakan is the best _ raw and real. Kunchacko was miscast.
