Superbly crafted movie, Dhanush delivers a strong performance, internally conflicted, and never far away from his goal. I hope South Indian movies never stop telling their histories of colonialism (still at play, just more disguised as policy, diplomacy etc), otherwise these histories would be white-washed (erased) by the colonial powers, then and now. There's enough superficial fluff elsewhere to fulfill those audiences. I hope distribution of Captain Miller could reach worldwide audiences.

One time watchable... Mix of Kantara(Deity) and Vikram/Veda(chapter references) with british era masala. This template would have been a blackbuster for tollywood heros. It's not boring either.

Great hero's arc of Dhanush's inner struggles with guilt to redemption. Little detail that bothers me is Capt. Miller is a marksman who hits his targets and yet whenever he is shooting, he doesn't shoulder his gun, even for the heavy machine guns. These are little details but takes away the watching experience. BGM doesn't slap as much as Santhosh Narayanan's would in such action packed movies. IMO, Overall good, great writing and acting, music didn't hit the mark.

Average movie. action scenes are too good. climax scene was too good. dhanush acting was good. others also played well in performance except priyanka mohan . priyanka mohan was not suitable for the role. in between movie was boring . if you like action movie most, then this is recommended movie for you. But logic mistakes are more in this movie. final 20 minutes goosebump moments if you like action movies. feeling movie was lengthy.

crappy movie! such a waste of time. had they watched once before screening they could have saved a headache for us. it is ok if you are not paying and watching this crap in theater! only missing comedy is not having danush fly a F16. enna da padam edukaringa?
