Excellent movie- Akshay is excellent acting as expected. Very moving story. I rated Perf 5.0, storyline 4.0. Did not like the score distortion from history. Got me emotional at some points in the movie. I can imagine the growing pains in building a team with real "team work", particularly when emerging out of a fractured India with a fragile state of mind.

Just wondering why retards like you who live in US and hardly know anything about India try to criticise what we have done and compare it with countries like US. Grow tf up man, US is a super-power and it will take time for India to catch up with them and moreover, Indians are more inclined towards cricket, and we are doing really good at it. And your point being - don't care about a medal because India has not won many and if we win many why care about it? Have you never watched an American movie on sports? Besides a movie is based on a story whether real or fictional. You can find inspiration from anyone, anywhere, and anything. There are literally hundreds of people who are inspired to greatness by movies, books, and stories. The US or China may have won a lot of medals but that does not take away the significance of every single medal won. Respect is earned by giving it.

I wish you had looked at the deeper meaning of this movie. It's not just about India winning a gold medal it's also about India creating its identity in the world. And talking about US making movies there are plenty of movies on US sports ie. football, baseball, ice hockey and also plenty of movies on US independence. Finally, despite hockey being the national sport in India, it is not given much attention. As a field hockey player myself, I am super proud that they have finally decided to shed some light on this sport. Hopefully, it will help generate some revenue for HOCKEY INDIA.

The movie was not about winning the medal ages ago.. It was about the first and only gold medal India won during the 1948 Olympics as a FREE COUNTRY. Yes, other countries won more medals than India, but this gold medal mattered a lot for the people.

Watched the movie with least expectations but did not budge from my seat till the end. Amazing and well handled movie. Surprise packet was Akshay's awesome acting with his comic timings still intact ! One of the best movie on sport and patriotism.
