Light take on a serious issue... Loved the movie and enjoyed it thoroughly. There are a few ironic characters 😂 I liked the songs too. For some odd reason the relationship between the helpless brother and the suffering sister stood out for me. Their relationship was subtle but very touching.

The movie was entertaining but I feel the real issue was never addressed. The kids are products of their environment and family life. If Rajesh's mother taught him to respect his sister and women would the out come be the same. If Jaya's mom or dad supported her want for studying or gave her some love would the outcome be the same. Everyone sees the violence against women but never hold those that brought them up accountable. Especially those parents that feel my kids can do no wrong and let them get away with it.

Beautifully directed and captivating storyline, refreshing to see Malayalam cinema explore the culture and antiquated ideology that surrounds women and their role in society. Darshana's portrayal of Jaya spoke in volumes to Malayali women who have experienced her pain and struggles in one way or another. Even in the comedic scenes the movie shined a light on the ridiculous hoops Indian women have to jump through to appease family. Brilliant film, would recommend!
