This movie does take creative liberties but overall it's decent family film with no inappropriate scenes. Although it's inspired by true events the plot is abit similar to Laal Singh Chada. The highlight of this movie is Vijay Raaz's performance, Kartik does his best but in some scenes it seems like he's acting like Salman Khan in Tubelight - I hope Kartik continues to learn. 3/5 for me. In the history of the Olympics & Paralympics, India has won a total of just 70 medals..China has won over 2,000! India needs to invest in Olympic sports so there are more inspirational stories & more champions

Every country has its own specialization of sports where they lead, like how china has no major representation in cricket or chess, India has not much in olympics. Still we have penetrated the area of badminton, shooting, tennis to a certain level. We need to stop expectation of western certification of our skills - only if we get oscar the movie is good? Me being a rajnikanth thalaivar fan cannot fathom how an oscar judge can figure out what sensations his salute creates for me. Sorry but not Sorry.

A very uplifting, well told real life story. Anyone feeling down will get a boost after watching this movie. Very decent movie with an honest attempt from Karthik to play Murlikant Petkar. The issue with these biopics is the amount of exaggeration that goes into the script writing. While Kabir Khan may have stuck to the script, Karthik's get up and dialogue delivery does not like it's from the sixties. Thats why it does not feel like a great film at any point even though the storyline is

Nice movie, good direction and acting. Sometimes feel inspired by movie ' Forrest Gump' (scenes of Tom Hanks being runner vs Karthik being boxer, both involved in the war supported by nice friend who dies in the battle, Tom then move on to ping pong and Karthik to swimming and both supported by their respective army majors in life).
