Pretentious film-making at its best. Horrible color correction, horrendous sound effects, illogical and banal script, pretentious actors. The subtitle lady has had a field day making stuff up. Who is she to attempt to change the content of the film with horrible translations? Pretentious attempts like this should be panned across the board. It was a complete waste of time.

Everyone in Tamil Nadu already knows about rationalism and atheism. I can watch a documentary by Brian Cox or a hundred others to understand the birth of universe. I can watch a documentary by Dawkins or a hundred others to understand human evolution. What I don't need is some half-brained filmmaker hack to lecture me on it for 3 hours amidst rubbish pop-culture references. What a joke! I am surprised the reviewers didn't pick up on this pretentiousness and pan it everywhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Thrilled to see Tamil cinema embracing and producing progressive and out of the box concepts.

This is going to be a cult classic . This is not a neat crime thriller with all loose ends tied up . Several subplots converge to the main message - put yourself in other peoples shoes and don’t judge or discriminate- whether its the estranged father , the mother who acted in the “movie”,the unfaithful wife, or the faithful devotee. Agree that the alien scene was a little out of this world . I understand that some reviewers are hurt because some comments go against their faith. However everyone has their belief , maybe atheism is also a religion . superb performances - esp the kid.

Excellent movie! I wish society in Tamil Nadu changes, leaving behind blind faith of all kinds!

If you are religious but not spiritual you will miss the essence of this movie. A theme that is far ahead of its time. Bravo to the director, the cast and the rest of the team.

Felt like a good read! excellent acting by all the cast, tumps up! A very different take.

This movie is really a cult classic and will be celebrated in a few years from now on a large scale. Yes it does play with ones belief systems and what one chooses to hate or love. This is a clever challenge to the viewer as it subtly rakes up our value systems and conditioning with a shock and awe. Terming something as "worst" just because we havent seen something like this before really doesn't give a balanced view. Not just each frame of the film which is picture perfect, the questions it leaves in ones head, the way the plots and subplots entwine in itself is cinematic poetry!

Not to mention some brilliant performances from rasukutty to Vaembu to hateable Berlin. One can absolutely love the film or absolutely hate it. There are no shades of grey. If one ends up loving it one cant stop admiring the easter eggs the Director places in many scenes leading up to the climax. Love it simply because its like a cat and mouse game and comedy! - Its so raw, blunt and so real!

Been waiting for a long time for this. already watched in theaters. one of the finest creation of the decade. people believing in cult movies like pudhupettai would love this movie. kudos to the director and to yuvan for making such a master piece.

Stupid movie, wasted time

Garbage. Garbage. Garbage. movienever starts. You expect a thriller. Its highly marketed thrash. You will vomit if you watch it. Produceranddirector had lot of black money so they smoked pot and started directing scenes. Finally they took heroiene and joined those scenes.

Worst movie..

A different type of movie in tamil cinema world! I truly appreciate the attempt though. Enjoyed the characters, music and the plot. All scenes reflects the modern life except the alien part. Nothing was exaggerated. We accept and enjoy the alien theme in Hollywood movies, but criticize them in tamil movie? My only complaint is the incorrect translation in sub-titles. Too much use of F words in the sub titles, even in many scenes. Bit strange to see them in a tamil movie!

This a glass ceiling breaker in Tamil Cinema. I loved the plot from the start to the end. The cinematography and the color scheme was wonderful. Kudos to the entire team. The actors were brilliant and the little fellow stole my heart. I am glad that our Tamil Directors and Producers are out side of the box thinkers, taking risks and moving away from Bollywood formula. This movie is a catalyst in many ways, Well done!!!

Total dhamaal with subtitles

'Dude where's my car?' with a philosophical twist. A definite cult classic with college stoners if that's even an Indian demographic. Subtitles could've been much better, it was almost like watching a different film with the freewheeling translation.

not bad, but slow film

I have not watched a Tamil movie that handles sensitive social themes half as eloquently as this movie did. This movie is definitely not for light hearted; Nothing to see here if you are looking for a larger than life hero to get a fucking erection; Look elsewhere if you prefer double meaning innuendos. This movie is for people who look past what's on screen, hear things that are not uttered, and have a genuine appreciation for artistry.

Bad color correction. Shit concepts trying to justify a women acting in porn saying 'it is a regular job I do for an income." Also trying to 'instill" western shit concepts, wife wandering away in lust and finally husband getting along. Anyhow the way it is filmed is OK. Story is for Charu Nivethitha, Nanushiya puthiran like aberrant characters...

A brilliantly scripted, and well executed piece of art. From the staging of the scenes, stellar performances, musical score ,use of color and lighting as themes and of course the many references and homages. That was an amazing watch. Will be looking forward to the next movie by Thiagarajan Kumararaja.

Excellent movie. I loved it!

I absolutely respect this fim for its ideas and concepts. And the actors were certainly perfect for the roles. I am actually pretty mindblown. Just the right mix of comedy and provoking thoughts.
