In the real Incident, the lead police officer's name is Anthony Raj( Dalit, Christian) but for the movie Actor, Surya changed the religion of the lead police officer who as Gurumoorthy portrayed as Hindu and one of the community in kadalur Tamil Nadu. what actor Surya did is totally not acceptable. Actor, Surya is a good Businessman who knows how to make money and supports the current ruling party in Tamil Nadu by changing religion and caste/community from the original Incident.

Dark as the subject matter of this film is and it is very dark, especially as it's based on true events. One finds oneself appreciating people like Justice K Chandru (Retired), thanks to people like him, our hope for humanity is a little restored. I found the court scenes quite suspenseful and well written. Film may be a bit long but totally worth it.

oh my God. I can't believe my eyes. i have watched half of the movie and can't even dare to continue. It says that the movie is based on true story. How can the police be so stupid and do so. I mean they have no right at all to beat someone. But they don't even talk to people without beating them. they don't even leave a pregnant women. why don't the Indian government just suspend such rubbish police officers? why are people quite and not doing anything about it? I mean when you see that someone is being unfair you have to take action. Even if it is a police officer or the prime minister.

India will never go beyond social unjustice, one main reason is reservation. Failed Reservation System is dragged for too long and no results yet. But, this reservation system is official & constitutional way of discrimination, biggest blunder of independent India. For Government, everyone should be equal. Reason behind sheer inefficiency & corruption in India also directly connected to reservation system as well social discrimination. As long as corruption & inefficiency is there, people will stay poor & this discrimination will keep increasing.

I took the decision to watch it in the original Tamil rather than a dubbed one. It is so much better. The story and the acting by every actor was amazing.

Outstanding movie showcasing police brutality on a downtrodden voiceless tribal community and how a lawyer brings justice to them. Brilliant performance by Suriya and the rest of the cast. Gripping, hard hitting and worth watching. The unnecessary caste based controversies surrounding this movie by political parties are ugly stunts to gain attention and should be ignored as it thwarts the movie's core message to rise above caste barriers and treat people with dignity.

Its really heart touching and superb movie. For me it rates 5 stars. It reveals the dark side of Indian society and sets up the bar, how politics and police should work coordinately for the right.

This movie is an example of what democracy stands for, shame the current India government don't understand the value of an ordinary human being other then 'their kind'. Well done people of Tamil.

Awesome acting but again propaganda in Tamil film, well, it's starting to become a norm now in Commie and Urduwood. The story remains the same but some characters' names are changed to direct hate at a particular community. Either keep it purely entertainment or keep it political, do not mix if you can't stay with the truth.
