I am not sure what is there to hate about brahmins in this movie. It was just a storyline that she is from a brahmin family that's all. Let me tell you about my brahmin friends in college. They used to eat meat, drink and womanize. I still have a good friend Venkatesh who is so Jollu for woman and he screws around even though he is married and he is 54 years old. So, do not tell that all this shastram and all this thing is very strict. Cut the caste and brahmins crap.

It was a nice movie better than the MASS Movies like LEO, JAILER and all that where violence is too much. Sidhu, then Irattai something movie name (Prabhu's son) and all these movies are nice family movies and not showing violance. Today, Tamilnadu has become a place of Gunda Raj because of these movies with Knives etc... Directors should stop taking movies like this. Moreover, when they take the movie show them driving between the lanes not on the line. Traffic sense kooda illa these DIRECTORS.

A different theme with cooking competition as a finale. A young women from a vegetarian family background aspiring to become a top Chef in India. The difficulties and the loss of her taste buds. The movie was trying to show the underlying theme of love and friendship through the preparation of food

Its not against Brahmins. Its against the discriminatory ideology. This discriminatory ideology is called Brahmanism. This can be from other Communities or Castes or Individual Person as well. Every caste has a caste lower to it. The upper caste shows discriminatory ideology to its lower caste. Some times this is reflected in food like Veg and Non-Veg. Or in Gender as Women and Men Or in Caste as Upper and lower. This need not be Brahmins alone.

Its opposing Brahmanism not Brahmins.. Brahmanism is the idea of discriminating in the name of Caste, Food, Gender, Rituals, Tradition or God etc.. Discriminating for looting the hard work of one by another.

Horrible movie, horrible storyline

The movie was going well until Nayan went into a Muslim-pandering namaaz before her cooking the biryani. No one does it when they want to cook a specific cuisine or recipe. Such a stupid move by the director that resulted in the movie being a flop. I can't think of any other reason why.

A jihadhi Movie... why a Brahmin Girl has to get the support from a Muslim guy to make food? There are millions of vegetarian dishes in India. She could realize her dream of becoming a good chef just making vegetarian food. It is a jihadhi funded movie. Somebody like Nayanthara has to be paid crores. She doesn't have any values. Just goes after money Tarnishing her own roots

New movie script: How about a devout Muslim girl...loves cooking...unable to cook pork properly...tries pork...and becomes the greatest pork chef. Not possible, yea?? Another script: How about a devout Christina girl who loves the Temple tamarind rice, learns from Madapalli cook that he's able to cook only because of Ranganathar's blessing...starts praying every day to cook the best tamarind rice. This script also not possible, yea? They could've have simply told a story on how the hero beats biriyani/fast food craze with her authentic home grown veg recipes but no!

This movie has been pulled out of Netflix due to court cases filed. Einthusan, please remove it. No movie shoul be allowed which hurt the sentiments of any religion/caste. Priests in the temple harm nobody. Why are these jokers targeting these innocent communities. Why force a non-meat eater to eat meat. Unfair.

Einthusan should remove this like Zee took this off. Just attack on brahmins as usual. It hurts majority of the hindu's feelings! Imagine if the lead character follows other religious values and cook their prohibited food it would have surely hurt their feelings. This kind of movies should be stopped.

The movie tries to preach that eating animals is justified using religions. You can find anything you want in religious books and each guru interprets the way he thinks it benefits him. Religions are the evils which divides humanity and creates horrible nations like Pakistan. But how can Tamils support killing and eating animals? Don't they read their greatest book Thirukural? If you read and understand Kural 251 to 259, you will never eat animals in your life!
