Imagine as a woman, a man divorces you in a fit of anger, showing no self-control. Would you remarry him? Halala discourages remarrying such men. Why do some Hindus attack Halala or hate Islam out of insecurity about their own religion? Extremists exist in all faiths and misuse their power, but no religion is inherently bad. Enjoy the movie!

Something of history that was unknown, learned. Story line is good but acting by few actors not up to the par.

my concerns about the selective criticism of a single religion while neglecting to address issues present in others. Focusing on the problems of only one religion creates a biased narrative and fosters division. If we are to critique the shortcomings of any religious belief system, we must do so with the same level of scrutiny and fairness for all. Selective criticism can lead to harmful stereotypes and misunderstandings.

Bad Bad and Bad, they wasted so much money on sets and CGI instead of focusing on story and character build-up. Very poor acting by new actors and Jaideep Ahlawat's talent was wasted.

Excellent acting by everyone. "Maharaj" explores themes of leadership, sacrifice, and the tension between tradition and progress. It is a poignant reminder of the timeless nature of these struggles and the enduring legacy of those who navigate them with integrity and vision. The film's message is both inspiring and thought-provoking, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own values and the impact of their choices.

Excellent acting by everyone. The film chronicles the journey of a daring journalist, who boldly challenges the immoral behaviors of a revered religious leader. The relentless pursuit of truth and justice in the face of societal and religious pressures forms the crux of the narrative. The film's message is both inspiring and thought-provoking.

One of the best movie I have ever watched. It will offer you the taste of being navies and living in the dark and what evil people are using our simplicity and taking advantage while we are still day dreaming. This is an ongoing tragic and still happening in our daily activities. One day we may wake up from this long dream which is too late for us and too early for the new generation.

A movie worth watching, unlike the rest of contemporary movies which are a waste of time, this movie depicts of historical reform that took place for the benefit of society. Furthermore, an exceptional debut movie for the lead actor. I cannot praise this movie enough.

idk why a lot of people are taking this movie as a personal attack? this movie did not spread any hate towards our religion. or did you not watch the entirety of the movie? this movie only states the harms of these prathas. how women suffered and how in their helplessness these maharaj's with power took advantage. it was a brilliant movie! amazing plot, storyline, dialogues and acting! i hope more people watch this movie and get educated instead of needlessly getting offended and bring their hurt sentiments here. go deal with it. clearly yall got issues if yall are getting hurt.

i loved the fact that the main character kept stressing on the fact that it was not his fight against the religion but the so-called traditions. and the fact that god is found in our hearts and not in rules and regulations. god doesn't care whether you eat meat or not, whether you bath him in milk or water. it is our devotion as to what we choose to show our love for him. god only cares and comes to those, be it any religion, who do good. to not only others but to themselves as well. it is your inner world that pleases him. not what you show the world.

i feel bad for the women. i feel bad for how badly they were trapped. in traditions, in culture, in religion itself. the religion, which was supposed to bring them closer to god. in the name of such traditions, how many women were taken advantage of? how many of these maharaj's took advantage of their innocent devotion? how many of them suffered from such diseases which they could not even talk about and just suffer in silence? i am truly heartbroken for them. and i all have is rage, rage for these power hungry a*holes and the enablers. one more story i learnt about the suffering of women.

bringing the issues of other religions in a story that highlights the plight of women? yall just can't leave women alone. we all are humans and we all know what issues our own religion as well as other religions have. if this movie is educating us about one specific harmful tradition of the past and how we overcame it from one particular religion, why are yall getting mad about the fact other religions aren't included? selective criticism isn't here but in your mind. self reflect.
