the movie is good for the fact that there is a lot of women representation but kangana is just problematic, but a good actress

Horrible mediocre performance, with bad dubbing. The entire thing is propaganda and an illicit "love" affair, the really important things she did as a politician, the good the bad etc..all of it was ignored. kangana is 40...too old to be playing a young teenage girl.

Fantastic movie. Kangana has played a wonderful role. A real inspirational movie for me at least. There is no question of feminism at all. We should be rational totally in character roles. This is a real transformation of Indian cinema. Keep it up Kangana R. Best of luck for future endeavors. I really hope that your every movie should be criticized by other moviemakers like this. Be a leader now don't back up. Bring change in every home. Really good actor you are first of all a wonderful human being.

Best MOVIE !

A multi faceted gem of a film on so many levels, which is at times quite cerebral too. There's so much happening in each scene it's hard to appreciate it all at once, the period studio sets, the costumes, hairstyles, the script and the song lyrics all combining to assault the viewer with more than we can imbibe on first viewing. This is a film I'll have to return to again and again to appreciate the effort the director has put into this tour de force biopic of a quite remarkable woman. And only Kangana Ranaut could have given it the justice it deserves. This is a five star film!!

Some scenes like Dragging Jayalalittha out of assembly of Tamilnadu or push her from last rituals of MGR was really happened and videos even can be found in Youtube.

Vidya Balan was tailor made for this role- looks, personality and acting wise. Kangana is horribly miscasted! She neither had the grace nor towering presence of Amma.

What a disappointment, I waited this movie for so long, poor Jayalalithaa didn't even get a good movie to celebrate her life. It is not even art, it was a musical documentary and the music wasn't even good. I ignored Kangana behaviour to see this but I regret. Hope Madhubala and Meena Kumari biopic will actually be good movies. I don't understand the media that praised the movie so much maybe they are scared of Kangana fans, at the end it is just disappointing.

Very impressed with Kangana, Arvind and Nassar who played their roles very well. Telling us this story and taking us on her journey kept me glued to my seat, Kangana truly carried this movie on her shoulders - kudos to her! Worth watching!
