This is absolutely one of my childhood favorites! Captivating plot, sharp & humor laden dialogue, superb acting,.... photography and music....amazing....true then, and now. And educational too!! The sequel - The Elephant God - is great too; but Sonar Kella is better. Recommended. I don't know of any other Indian movie for kids that comes even close. Two others come to mind, Children of Heaven and Bicycle Thief. Timeless movies!!
