Title didn't suit Kamal's character in the movie. He is being sacrificial and having pain inside his soul. Didn't made any thug life situation. Just living life for others by maintaining superiority. All actors performed very well. Stunt is amazing. However, story is not relatable and thus which is not bringing interest or attactration towards the movie.

Very Good watch and BGM is amazing.. Good to see Mani's full action packed movie after Nayagan and Dhalapathi...

To be Honest, this is one of the best movies in 2025. I can give 8 rating. Kamal and Simbu awesome. Kamal is the best Indian actor! This movie is worth watching!

Kamal movies set high standards, it's difficult even for himself to keep up with. With that said, It is funny to see people complain about screenplay, logic etc and then accept movies like GoodBadUgly 😂😂 yarra neengallam

Mumbai gangsta plot with shades of empuran, scapes from the Revenant sprinkled with unnecessary drama = difficult one time watch. Kamal to Maniratnam, the old timers are ruining their legacy. Either they're ignorant to "Quit while ahead" or their vices have the upper hand. Sad.

Thug Life surprised me. Kamal Haasan delivers a deeply restrained, powerful performance, and the twist about Chandra being Amar’s lost sister was handled with finesse. Simbu stole the show—his presence was electric and commanding. Trisha was elegant and mature, perfectly cast. The film respects the viewer’s intelligence—no spoon-feeding, no mainstream. Thug Life is bold, well-made, and emotionally gripping. It deserves better than casual dismissal.

Problem is we have seen too many gangster movies and this one is not engaging. I honestly don't know why. My guess is there is no center of gravity in the story line. The screen play is just not doing it. What can I say...movies like LSU has spoilt us and this one is not a LSU.

Worst movie ever. The best song by Shruthi Hassan was towards the end for just cast list. Why would 4 friends go to Nepal to kill Sakthivel … they could have where he was living. Too many cast , not justified to their roles .. Elam bits and pieces

Very nice movie! How an individual may change after hearing the rumors, depicted very nicely! Self help is the best help even in the brain thinking also! Kudos to the entire team and to the director Manirathnam!

it is much better than good bad ugly which is complete trash. IT is a good movie, i believe kannada people created a perception of it is bad. Amazing movie

First 10 minutes of this movie was something actually great that had many call backs the rest of the movie went downhill from there

Watched the movie… honestly a waste of time. Hard to believe this is a Maniratnam film. Simbu didn’t quite fit the role either. You can watch it if you’re curious, but don’t expect too much.

Good movie, not sure why so much of negative reviews. All actors did very well and ARR has done nice job in both the songs and BGM. I love it.

It’s actually a very well made good action movie. Story is simple and straightforward. It’s a bit too bloody and violent, if it was cut by ~30min would have been more enjoyable. Overall it’s a good movie.

Surprised (but not surprised) some people didnt get this. The minds are too conditioned to such mediocrity that something really good goes over their heads. This is a good film, tasteful done, an acted well, brilliant songs.

Watch this movie with low expectation and you may enjoy it a little. I like the plot and acting. What I cannot understand is why Kamal's character is so out of reality. It could have been much more enjoyable if extreme resiliance of Kamal which borders on superhuman is curbed with reality. It could have been heaps better in my humble opinion. Also love the music its so grand.

Story is misunderstood I guess. i liked it. No man is a saint. So when kamal does why it hurts people. it is a good action movie.Would like to see on a bigger screen.

This movie did not even release in Karnataka due to Kamal's ego! He was highly respected but now it's water under the bridge. Poor distributor is now stuck with losses!
