Movie disappointing compared to the trailer. Thought it would be comedy movie but turned out a boring fare. Bad acting by the cast. Someone died in house and everyone acting as it nothing happened. No expression of fear, horror etc. Can give a skip to this movie.

Better watch Rita Revolver ..with english subtitles..Much more comedy film, good acting by Keerthi Suresh and gang. Similar plot.. A gangster by mistake enters Keerthi's house ( Rita) and gets killed by accident. Rita, her mother and sister panics and how they deal with corrupt police, other gangsters and get out of situation makes a good comedy film. In Maa Bahen, the productor-director goofed up .

this movie requires a deeper lens. the comments section say the movie sucks- it does if you think the movie is about solving a murder. The movie in my opinion is about the potrayal of these women by the colony for example how the society views a woman who wears a sleeveless blouse and all kinds of judgements put on her and assumptions of her character. The role of males and females in this society is another key theme eg jaya speaking up about Manas trapping her for marrige

Men would comment about this movie saying it sucked. Reality is this was an amazingly scripted and directed movie challenging people's views on women in the trenches of a patriarchal society. Beautifully done and made.

No matter how much the world changes. the Indian society will never change at any cost. A woman is always looked through the lens of hawasi man. A woman's dress shouldn't define her character, but Indian society donesn't seem to change. I felt really bad for these 3 woman characters. How they are labeled in every negative words and tortured. And the main people are always another woman that's pointing finger.

It is a beautiful movie that shows the struggle of a mother and her daughters, where the mother is cheated on and people look down on them. I hope it is an eyeopener for many, so they won't treat people this way or say nasty things without knowing the other side of the story.

Lovely movie with strong writing. Quite funny in parts. At times the writing slips a little. The lead actresses Madhuri and Tripti have nuanced characters and play their parts with aplomb. Madhuri is unapologetically full of spunk and oomph whereas Tripti is fantastic in one of her better roles since her star turn. Dharna has less to do but she is full of zest. Supporting cast is appropriate for their roles.
