Absolutely amazing movie loves it... a phenomenal act by Soorya.. I was crying at the end. superb movie.

good entertainer, i enjoyed it. felt a bit long in some parts, mainly because i felt a few of the songs were unnecessary. if you can overlook some of the over-dramatisations and plot-holes, it's well worth a watch. 4.5/5

Director Sudha had scripted well , Good work by the entire team, but some thing need to be checked. Goswami -- Bengali Surname , But he speaks Gujrati, Surya Airport scene from NDA, i believe NDA gives Stipend / allowance and basically Airforce commanders are highly intelligent, know how to get work done. What i am noticing is , Surya is roping in so many actors from AP / Telangana .. My gut feel is even the casting dir should be from AP.

Good movie, great acting and story line, however to call the script re-enactment of real life incidents too far a stretch. GR Gopinath was already an entrepreneur when he founded Air Deccan.

Very nice movie.

When biopics are made, filmmakers usually try to stay as close to possible to the real story. Here, I don't know why Sudha Kongara says it's "based on a true story" and goes on to distort facts. Eventually Air Deccan (not sure why it's called Deccan Air in the movie) was sold to Kingfisher Airlines. Not sure why all those Mallya bashing dialogues are here then. It's a bizarre and stupid film, coming across as "socialist" propaganda when there's no need for it.

if someone can point out the top movies in the world, I bet soorarai pottru will surely have its place in the pick. Only when everything comes in the right point, something like soorarai pottru will be created. If you are expecting the exact video version of the book & the life of sir Gobinath himself, the this movie is gonna disappoint you. this is cinema and it has its own compromises and deviations from the original story so that it can be presented to the audience in an entrertaing yet inspiring movie.

Inspiring story of how a common man chasing an impossible dream faces insurmountable barriers but eventually overcomes and succeeds. Several goosebump moments. Worth watching several times.
