This is an emotional roller coaster of a film and I was surprised how often I found myself teary or welling up. The acting is top notch, the storyline is taut with not wasted second, leading from one emotional drama to another. I don't want to reveal the story, so I'll just say that for me, being born in the West and having enjoyed the sort of education many of these students can only aspire to, the huge disparity between the rich and poor was a humbling experience. The film really brings to the fore the sacrifices, dedication and effort put in by students to escape their humble origins. Watch

Excellent Movie.

a solid time pass movie, grabbed my attention right from the get go. i was going to write that the message behind the movie is very cliched between the haves and the have nots, but then i caught myself and realised it is only cliched because it is so true. stereotypes are based on some sort of reality and the movie captures this well. ending could have been fleshed out a little more, but it still works as it is. watch it! 4/5

A real GEM! Outstanding movie that should inspire all of us to do our best for ourselves, our children, grandchildren, etc. People are amazing when you see the good that they commit themselves too. Even the father here - he did his best and then learned from his mistakes, trying not to let his faults effect his wife and child, but . . . This is a great family movie to watch with older children and discuss in depth! Thank you for another great movie, Einthusan!
