I´ve seen many comments like this also about the other actors, the reason is mostly due to the generation gap. People who grew up with him, appreciate his movies more than the one´s who´ve watched only his recent movies. It´s like when you laugh stupid jokes about the person you like even when they´re not funny at all.

I didn't "grow up" with Rajnikanth 😂 I'm German and have no Indian relatives. I saw his first movies in 2018 on “Zee One” channel on TV, dubbed in german : Chandramukhi and Robot 1 and 2. I liked them so much that I then looked for more movies in the Web and that's how I found Einthusan 😊 But I don't like this Movie as much as the others, too much blood and violence for me and sad ending 🙁

Rajinikanth is iconic because he dismantled colourism and Eurocentric beauty standards in South Indian cinema for men. He came into the industry as a typecast villain since he was dark but quickly became a superstar for his style and charisma. he has his flaws, but this is why older generations who saw him do what he did love him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwpujrkV_14 watch the first scene in this. its very powerful and metaphoric of him taking a job typically associated with light skin Indians. Its a scene and movie that represents a metaphoric F U to classism and racism.

This is a really good movie. South movies are known for their over-the-top action sequences and this is no exception. The film has great action, a decent plot and amazing music. The song in the villain dance scenes is particularly good. You can watch this movie with your family as there are no inappropriate scenes. The movie does contain violence so I would recommend age 12+. 4/5 for me.
