Somehow this movie didn't draw me in There seemed to be too much Hollywood and not enough Bollywood for me. Also it's kind of slow in the first half. Good acting though.

Although he's obviously copying Scorcese and the film is a little too ambitious, I still think it's worth a watch. Shame it didn't connect with audiences. It's not that bad.

Garbage film, it truly deserved all the criticism and poor boxoffice performance it received. Only good thing was the dedication of anurag kashyap and grand sets of old mumbai.

Bombay Vel has the look and feel of Boardwalk Empire - Bombay and Atlantic City have some similarities - Prohibition, an Art-Deco look and the struggle for real-estate supremacy...

...But the story-telling is disjointed - a voiceover & better editing/screenplay was needed. The character development is so poor that one doesn't feel empathy or sympathy for them

Predictable scandalous and depressing gangster style more rip roaring 20s than 60s but that's Bollywood for you. R. Kapoor reminds me of Robert De Niro.
