Excellent performance by all actors. Makes you believe the pain felt by each party from their own angle. Even between the villain's parents, there is a different reaction and they protray it so well while supporting each other through the ordeal. Kamal has made a variation in the climax but even after viewing several times, I am unable to say whether Mohanlal (Malayalam) or Kamal has acted better. It is a tie IMO. A must watch.

not nearly as good as malayalam version, the original one. Mohanlal is far superior.

The movie is the same as malayalam, same director and same story with same screenplay. The difference is the actors and their performance, and there is a huge difference between malayalam and tamil, as one is good because thats the maximum the actors can do and the other is exceptional because they know how to act better and make it realistic and convincing, that is Malayalam actor Mohanlal, far superior.
