Enjoyable film, but obviously not one of Vijay's best. I loved Thuppakki, Nanban and some his older films. He is a talented actor but he should stop doing these kinda films.

Vijay I am a huge fan of yours and I like all the effort you put in! Also I always nearly always watch your movies.

My favourite scene in the movie is where Sakthi is reluctantly being carried to the police entrance exam, the way he defeatedly leans his elbow on one of the guys heads cracks me up. Vijay is brilliant, love him.

ridiculous overblown movie, weak plot, over the top action scenes. having said that, i really enjoyed it as a time pass film that required no mental exertion on my part. i skipped all the songs to try and shorten the far too long runtime. 3/5

"Jilla" is an outstanding Tamil movie that blends action and emotion beautifully. The chemistry between Mohanlal and Vijay is electric. The scene near the end, where the father asks Sakthi to finish him, is especially powerful and memorable. A must-watch for fans of Tamil cinema!
